Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh predicted that the growing BP oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico will become “Obama’s Katrina.” This of course is in comparison to the political damage suffered by former president George W. Bush as a result of the federal government’s delayed response to Hurricane Katrina.
Rush stated that President Obama “does not have any desire to manage” and that Obama is “getting even with this country for all of it’s transgressions in the past.”
What do you think? Does this disaster have the potential to cast a major cloud (or in this case, a major oil slick) over Obama’s presidency as Katrina did over the presidency of George W. Bush?
