KQDS-FM 94.9 Duluth MN Concert Connection 1988

“Live Entertainment for the Northland”, as it was 31 years ago.  Whatever happened to all these Duluth-Superior bar bands?  Did any of them make the big time?  Who is voicing this promo?  If you know, please tell me so that I can give him proper credit here.

This was recorded from my location in Apple Valley, MN.  Back in those days, reception of Duluth FMs was possible with the combination of an excellent receiver and antenna.  Now, KQ95 would be nearly impossible, due to KMXK/Cold Spring-St. Cloud and numerous translators. I used a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver and Winegard 10 element FM yagi antenna with rotor.  This aircheck was recorded on a Sears stereo cassette deck with BASF normal bias tape.
