KMSR was yet another “hometown” Minnesota station that I was able to hear from my listening post in Apple Valley. This station has since been upgraded and moved into Alexandria. Back in 1983, however, it was the 3,000 watt voice of Sauk Centre. David Jaye is the announcer on duty.
I received this on a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, connected to a Winegard 10 element FM yagi antenna. An Alliance U-100 rotor spun it around while Belden ultra low loss RG59 coaxial cable connected it to the receiver. The recording was made using a Technics stereo cassette deck and TDK SA90 tape.
