The Big 700 WLW had no problem making it into Minnesota at night. 50,000 watts from that beautiful vintage Blaw-Knox tower covered a lot of ground 24/7. For some reason, reception was not as clear on this evening as was usually the case. Bad atmospherics? A stronger than normal signal from WHB on 710? Probably a little of both. This Legal ID was captured as part of a routine dial scan.
Equipment used to receive and preserve this aircheck was a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, horizontal long wire antenna, Technics stereo cassette deck, and Scotch Dynarange tape.
