KSTT was the Quad Cities’ Top 40 AM which survived into the 1980s. This station was a regular nighttime visitor up in Minnesota. They were only 1,000 watts into six towers, but since their main lobe was pointed towards me, they came in pretty well. I believe the other station which you can hear faintly in the background is KVOO in Tulsa.
This short aircheck was recorded from Apple Valley, Minnesota, using a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver with horizontal long wire antenna. A Technics stereo cassette deck and Scotch Dynarange cassette was used to make the recording.
