Hal Hoover was a great AOR jock who first achieved Twin Cities radio recognition on KQRS. You can hear an aircheck of Hal on “KQ” elsewhere on this site. By 1982, he was across town (literally) on “Stereo 101”, KQ’s direct competitor.
The movie “Porky’s” had just arrived in the theaters. Here, Hal shows off his production abilities with a :30 spot for the new film. My original recording was made using a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, Winegard 10-element FM yagi antenna, Panasonic RS-808 8-track recording deck, and a generic blank 8-track cartridge. (Yes, I said 8-track. Click, click, *kerchunk!*)
