KQDS aka “KQ95” is the heritage Rock station in Duluth/Superior. Back in 1983, they were the only Rock station in this market. Because of this, they played both classic and new rock. The Sammy Hagar song heard here had just been released at the time this aircheck was made. Again, I realize this is short, but it’s all I have. It was recorded as part of a routine dial scan.
Reception was made from Apple Valley, MN, using a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, Winegard 10 element FM yagi antenna, Alliance U-100 Tenna Rotor, and Belden RG59 ultra low loss coaxial cable. For recording, I used a Technics stereo cassette deck with TDK SA90 tape.
